Sea To Shining Sea – Huntsville Museum of Art
As part of the Huntsville Museum of Art‘s renovations and reopening in 2025, the Bold Agency was hired to create designs for the new art exhibits. Sea to Shining Sea features paintings, prints, sculptures, and drawings exclusively from the Huntsville Museum of Art’s permanent collection, this exhibition explores how water has shaped our landscapes, inspired creativity, and reflected the nation’s evolving identity.
The exhibit opening wall for Sea to Shining Sea is the first large visual space when entering the museum and it needed to set the tone for the rest of the exhibits.
I had a few iterations of this design concept where I wanted to show a flowing sense of movement and grandeur with an elaborate type. I chose the Fabiola script from font foundry Sproviero Type where I made some slight edits and modifications. We had a lot of fun with this project and the museum was a great client to work for. The other exhibits in the museum that our team handled was New Realism, Fragile Beauty, Gilded Wilderness, A Transatlantic Journey, & Form, Line, and Color.
