Rewire is a specialized app that allows users to curate positive Memory Clouds that can be recalled by the user at later times when they need some mental advocacy. Using images, videos, text, colors, and sounds users will be able to create specific Memory Clouds that bring them joy and calmness when they need it the most. The continued practice of recalling these positive life events can help the user rewire their brain to decrease the “negative bias” that has been ingrained in humans for over 100 millennia.
Audience: Mental health affects the young and old alike. Rewire can benefit anyone who can use an app. We place the demographic willing to use this technology from 16 to 69. More specifically, we believe our core demographic is aged 18 – to 50, highly educated, technologically literate, rural, and with chronic symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Backstory: Philip Kovacs, Ph.D. had been studying neuroscience, Buddhism, and stoic philosophy for almost 30 years when he first conceived of Rewire. After going through a particularly grueling set of personal events coupled with the impact of the Covid pandemic, it occurred to him that a simple app could help people address persistent, recurring unhappiness. Through the consistent practice of replacing negative thoughts, emotions, and associations with curated positive Memory Clouds, Rewire can provide a meditative space that recalls positive life events that will help make users calmer, deal with stress better, and ultimately become happier people.
Mission Statement: At its core, Rewire believes that mental health is the cornerstone of happiness and wellness. We believe that to be fulfilled and reach one’s maximal potential as a human being, the mind has to be a place where positivity outperforms negativity. Rewire provides people with the tools to do just that.
